Course Description:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The OSHA 10-Hour Construction Training is designed to provide participants with a foundational understanding of occupational safety and health principles in the construction industry. This course emphasizes OSHA regulations, hazard recognition, and the promotion of a safe working environment. Through a combination of lectures, case studies, and interactive activities, participants will gain the knowledge necessary to identify and mitigate common hazards on construction sites.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Course Objectives:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

By the end of the OSHA 10-Hour Construction Training, participants should be able to:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

  • Understand the purpose and scope of OSHA and the OSHA Act.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • Identify and evaluate the “Focus Four” hazards in construction.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • Demonstrate knowledge of personal protective equipment (PPE) selection and usage.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • Recognize and control health hazards commonly found in construction.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • Safely use ladders, stairs, and scaffolds, following OSHA guidelines.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • Apply electrical safety principles, including lockout\/tagout procedures.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • Implement safe materials handling, storage, use, and disposal practices.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • Utilize hand and power tools safely, including proper guarding.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • Understand the principles of safe crane, derrick, hoist, elevator, and conveyor operation.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • Demonstrate knowledge of excavation safety, including trenching and protective systems.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • Apply safety measures in concrete and masonry construction.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n

    Course Length:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

    The OSHA 10-Hour Construction Training is typically conducted over two days. Each day consists of approximately five hours of instruction, including breaks and interactive activities. This format allows participants to absorb the material effectively while engaging in discussions and practical applications.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
